Berenice (AKA Berni) the just got her SJA Therapy Dog Certification! Berni is a retired LOH breeding dog who is busy living her best life with her humans.
The pandemic put a halt to our initial attempt to join the program, but we have now been approved as a St. John’s Ambulance Therapy Dog team!
We will be starting our visits as a team in June 2023.
-T.C, Berni’s Guardian.
We take pride in ensuring that all of our retired breeding dogs live a full and happy life with their human guardians. Berni is a busy girl who absolutely loved being a mother to the next generation of Lagotto puppies. She is also the mother of MRBIS GCHG Lagotto Hill Basilichito.
Berni will now be helping many individuals with the SJA Therapy Dog Program along with her loving human family.
The St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program reaches out to thousands of people across Canada on a daily basis bringing comfort, joy and companionship to members of the community who are sick, lonely, reside in long-term care and mental health facilities; are in hospitals, schools and library settings.
Program participants reap the therapeutic benefits of the unconditional companionship of a four-legged friend.
We are so proud of the hardworking and loving families that care for our breeding dogs. We couldn’t do it without you!
